Steve Kirschbaum, Director of the Lessing’s Catering Division, is an expert in the field with more than 30-years of experience in the hospitality world.
After spending his teenage years working in the industry, he decided to pursue a career in the field. He earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and, upon completion, furthered his knowledge through formal training with the Marriott Corporation and Hilton Hotels. With substantial hands-on-experience under his belt, Steve’s ambitious work-ethic lead him to his own multi-unit corporation. For almost 15 years he managed restaurants, catering facilities and corporate dining. After much success he chose to join the team-environment again and took the position of General Manager to the Lessing’s Catering Division. He currently oversees all 13 Lessing’s catering properties, as well as the entire off-premise division.
Steve is a born and raised Long Islander who loves to support his community. He currently resides in Massapequa with his wife and three children.
Steve is a proud board member of two Long Island not-for-profit organizations. The Long Island Community Chest is an on-going community fund to support local individuals and families in need and has run the Fight for Charity event for the last 20 years.
He also serves on the board of Eden II, an organization that supports the autism community.
Eden II is a cause that’s close to home as his son Brandon, who is now 29 years old, has attended the Eden II-Genesis programs since the age of 6. The team at Eden II has been a lifeline for Steve’s entire family. The support they have received over the years is remarkable.
