The Long Island Community Chest is interested in helping people who have nowhere else to turn.  Individuals who have exhausted all traditional means of help.

Our founders, Matt Silver and Jamie Austin, have been involved in many charities and not-for-profit organizations on Long Island, and wanted to create an organization that gave back to their local community.  They wanted to see the rewards of their fundraising efforts in person.  By helping specific individuals directly, they can get to know those they help.
